Growing Mushrooms! Those
Welcome to a mushroom enthusiast's site.  If you appreciate edible mushrooms as I do, enjoy or plan to grow your own, then you may find some of this information interesting and helpful.

I recently went through all my notes and collected books and publications on mushrooms and their cultivation.  The amount of information I had gathered inspired me to create this website.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy the subject and working on it.

I've collected information on the collection and or propagation of various mushrooms to include Reishi, Shiitake, Maitake, Golden Oyster, King Oyster, Blue Oyster, King Stropharia, Wild Trameters Versicolor, and a dozen others.

During these couple of years, learning about my preferred specimens was of great interest to me.  Then came the desire to cultivate them!  I soon learned there is not one but several methods commonly used.  From hi-tech sterilized and climate controlled warehouses to kits used by hobbyists for home cultivation.

With such information in hand, I decided on none of the widely used techniques but ONE not mentioned much in online discussion forums and certainly books.

The method I found was that by R. Rush Wayne, Ph.D. in his Growing Mushrooms the Easy Way (with Hydrogen Peroxide).  You read that correctly, with Hydrogen Peroxide!  I'll be listing more comments, without plagiarizing or disclosing his methods, and where you can purchase his PDF file or hard copy.

I registered and participated in many online discussion boards and asked if anyone was familiar with Dr. Wayne's approach.  There was a lot of head scratching and very little participation from others.

But the manual has been downloaded at his site from over 70 countries.  Someone is interested.

I hope you enjoy my labor of love regarding this site and information on Gourmet and Medicinal Mushrooms as much as I do.  I continuously add to the sections within this site and strive to make it a useful site for those seeking to cultivate or purchase the Fungi.

Feel free to browse, enjoy and use the information, and contact me with any questions.
